There is created the office of building official. (Ord. 1026 § A(part), 1996).

The office of building official shall be filled by appointment, made by the city administrator with the approval of the city council. (Ord. 1026 § A(part), 1996).

The building official shall interpret the provisions contained in the building codes, shall enforce the provisions and shall have all of the power necessary to perform these duties. (Ord. 1026 § A(part), 1996).
