The City of Lynden Planning Department and planning consultant, Communita Atelier, will be hosting a workshop for City Councilors and Planning Commissioners regarding the Pepin Creek rechanneling and sub-area planning.
The primary objective of the meeting is to gather input from officials regarding the appropriate uses, density, and infrastructure requirements for future development within this northwest Urban Growth Area of Lynden. Input given at this workshop, and other community outreach efforts, will shape the zoning and design regulations currently being crafted through a planning scope with Communita Atelier and a supporting team of consultants. The workshop will also include a status report on the project and describe the next steps.
Although this meeting is open to the public it will not be a venue for the public to voice comments. Subsequent community meetings regarding the Pepin Creek project will be open for public questions and comments.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will be held in the 2nd floor conference room at The Inn At Lynden, 100 5th Street, Lynden.
